Library Card Policies & Privileges
- Any Massachusetts resident with photo ID and proof of address may obtain a library card from the Bigelow Free Public Library. The first card is free.
- If photo ID or proof of address verification is unavailable, library card applicant may borrow just one item. Library card will be mailed to address provided. Item must be returned to borrow another item. Full borrowing privileges will be granted when address is verified.
- Non-patrons can apply online through the CW MARS network for a digital-only card. This will allow them to borrow digital resources unique to the Bigelow Library. A patron who wants to upgrade their digital card to a physical card must follow the procedures listed in section 1.
