LIBRARY TRUSTEE MINUTES OF MAY 8, 2019
The meeting was called to order in the library at 9:31 am.
In attendance were: Trustees Gloria Parkinson, chairwoman; Wendy Neil, vice chairwoman; Tracy Colangione, Karen Nugent, secretary; and Alexandra Zapantis; and Library Director Marie Letarte Mueller.
NEW BUSINESS:
Review of bylaws:
The board reviewed revisions to an old town bylaw pertaining to library trustees, to be presented to voters at the June annual town meeting. Six sections were revised and pared down to two sections: Board of Library Trustees and Board Responsibilities.
A motion (made by Ms. Colangione, seconded by Ms. Neil) to accept the updated bylaw as reviewed by the Town Solicitor and the board of library trustees, and to be brought before voters as a warrant article at the June annual town meeting was approved 5-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Trustees looked at carpet samples for the Community Room. A few selections were agreed upon. They will be presented to the town facilities director who will report back on cost options.
