We make every effort to provide you with the most up-to-date information regarding each discount pass. However, it is important to check the museum/local attraction’s website for the most accurate and up-to-date information especially concerning timed-entry reservations, special hours, restrictions, etc.. Some museums and local attractions have special requirements/restrictions in place at this time. Visiting their website ahead of time will help to answer any questions that you may have before you visit.



  • Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • A valid CW MARS library card in good standing is required to borrow a pass
    (i.e. no outstanding fines over $10 or any lost items).
  • Only library patrons 18 years or older are able to reserve and check out museum passes.
  • Passes that are not coupons must be returned before our next day’s opening hour (by 9:00 am). Passes may be placed in the outdoor book drop, located in the parking lot behind the library.  
  • Any borrower who loses a pass is responsible for the full replacement cost of that pass.
  • It is important to know that some passes provide free admission, while others provide reduced admission.
  • Passes may be picked up the day-before or the day-of your reservation.

The Bigelow Free Public Library
has purchased passes that offer discounts to:

American Heritage Museum logo
American Heritage Museum in Hudson (expires July 22, 2024)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
This pass offers half-price admission for up to six (6) visitors.
– Children 2 and under are admitted for free.
– World War II and Korea Veterans are admitted for free.

– Pass is good on General Admission only, and not valid for special event weekends or driving or ride experiences.
– The Museum is open year-round: Wednesday – Sunday, 10 am – 5 pm
– Average visit duration is approximately two hours.
– The Museum is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and the following holidays:
Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

* This pass is a circulating pass. Once reserved, it may be picked up the day before or the day-of your visit to the American Heritage Museum and must be returned to the library before the next day’s opening hour to avoid any late fees, and so that others may use it. For your convenience, passes may be placed in the outdoor book drop located in the back parking lot of the library.

For patrons using the Library Discount Pass to visit the American Heritage Museum, please reserve the PASS with us online, but please do not reserve your TICKETS with the Museum (you will not be able to apply the discount). When you arrive at the Museum for your visit, please bring the valid Library Discount Pass to Admissions to pay for your tickets and receive the discount.



Animal Adventures: An Educational ExperienceAnimal Adventures in Bolton (expires July 21, 2024)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– 
Pass admits up to four (4) adults and/or children ages 4+ for $8 per person for General Admission during normal operating hours. Children under 2 are free.
– Daily Live Animal Shows are included with general admission. Zookeepers bring out several furry and scaly rescue friends for you to interact with and get to know.
– Open year-round to the public, rain or shine.
– Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

* This pass is a circulating pass. Once reserved, it may be picked up the day before or the day-of your visit to Animal Adventures and must be returned to the library before the next day’s opening hour to avoid any late fees, and so that others may use it. For your convenience, passes may be placed in the outdoor book drop, located in the back parking lot of the library.

For patrons wishing to use the Library Discount Pass to visit Animal Adventures, please reserve the PASS with us online, but please do not reserve your TICKETS with Animal Adventures online. When you arrive at Animal Adventures for your visit, please bring the valid Library Discount Pass to Admissions and purchase your tickets there to receive the discount.



BATTLESHIP COVE: AMERICA'S FLEET MUSEUM - MARITIME MUSEUM - * Battleship Cove in Fall River (May 31, 2025)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– This pass gives the cardholder up to two (2) adult and three (3) child admissions at $3 each.
– Children 3 and under are FREE.
– Battleship Cove general admission tickets include admission to the Maritime Museum (open seasonally, please check website for details).
– Battleship Cove is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
– Parking is available at the DCR Fall River Heritage State Park lot adjacent to the museum. Handicap parking is also available.

* This pass is a circulating pass. Once reserved, it may be picked up the day before or the day-of your visit to Battleship Cove and must be returned to the library before the next day’s opening hour to avoid any late fees, and so that others may use it. For your convenience, passes may be placed in the outdoor book drop, located in the back parking lot of the library.

For patrons using the Library Discount Pass to visit Battleship Cove, please reserve the PASS with us online, but please do not reserve your TICKETS with the Museum online (you will not be able to apply the discount). When you arrive at the Museum for your visit, please bring the valid Library Discount Pass to the Visitors Center to pay for your tickets and receive the discount.



BOSTON BY FOOT logo* Boston by Foot in Boston (no expiration)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– Each coupon is good for free public walking tour admission. Patrons may borrow up to two (2) per day.

– Community Passes are valid for all public walking tours. They are not valid for booking on the private tour calendar, water-based tours, or their two annual Celebration tours (Beacon Hill with a BOO! & Footloose on the Freedom Trail).
– Online pre-registration is required for all tours. Visit www.BostonbyFoot.org to browse the extensive public tour calendar. Select a tour on your preferred date & time, and enter the number of adults (ages 13+) and children (ages 6-12) in your party.
– Please note: Registration for all public walking tours closes one hour before tour start time.
– All tour attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

*This is a coupon pass. Once reserved, it may be picked up at the Library on the day before or the day-of your public walking tour. This pass does not need to be returned to the library.

Patrons wishing to use the Library Discount Pass at Boston by Foot should reserve the PASS online with us as well as their advanced reservations with Boston by Foot. Please remember to bring BOTH your coupon from the library and your reservation confirmation from Boston by Foot. Your coupon and confirmation can be printed out or shown on a smartphone or other device.

* Boston Children’s Museum in Boston (expires July 31, 2025)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– Pass offers half-price admission for up to four (4) people. Infants under 12 months need a ticket but they are admitted free.
– Museum pass is date specific; ticket date MUST match date on coupon. Coupon must be presented upon arrival. Limit four (4) tickets. All visitors after their first birthday require a ticket.
– The Museum is open Wednesday-Sunday, 9 AM – 12 Noon and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
– The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day.
– The Museum is open on the following Monday holidays: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day/February Vacation Week, Patriots’ Day/April Vacation Week, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and Winter Vacation Week.
– Please note: Advanced tickets/reservations are highly recommended, especially during weekends, holidays and school vacation weeks. You may reserve your tickets on the Museum’s website (instructions are on the pass, once reserved). 
– Boston Children’s Museum is open for two pre-registration time slots per day. Please choose only one time slot for your visit, either the morning (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) or the afternoon (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm) time slot. Space is limited! Operating hours are subject to change; please see the Museum’s website for updates.
– The day of your visit, please bring both your coupon from the library AND your ticket from the Museum. Your coupon and ticket can be printed out or shown on a smartphone or other device.

* The Butterfly Place in Westford (no expiration)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– Pass offers one free general admission ticket. Children 2 and under are free.
– Hours of Operation: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Valentine’s Day through Columbus Day). The Butterfly Place is closed on Easter Sunday and July 4th.

– Message from the Butterfly Place: You do not need to purchase tickets ahead of time or make a reservation unless you have 15 or more people. Ticket sales end at 3:30 PM, and no new customers will be admitted into the exhibits after 3:30 PM. We suggest you arrive no later than 3:00 PM. To really enjoy our butterflies, plan to spend at least an hour.

*This is a coupon pass. Once reserved, it may be picked up at the Library on the day before or the day-of your visit to the Butterfly Place. This pass does not need to be returned to the library.

– Pass admits up to four (4) guests to Davis Farmland or Davis Mega Maze with a savings of $10 OFF the at-the-gate admission rate. Library tickets are purchased at the gate.

Discovery Museum: Science. Nature. Play.
* Discovery Museum in Acton (expires May 31, 2025)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– 
Pass offers half-off general admission for up to three (3) people; under 1 are free (additional people in your party pay regular admission prices).
– Admission is good for Discovery Museum and Discovery Woods.
– Valid only during Public Hours. Please visit the Museum’s website to confirm public hours.
– The Museum is CLOSED on most Mondays during the school year, except for school vacation weeks and some holidays.

EcoTarium: Science. Nature. Explore. Connect

* EcoTarium in Worcester (expires September 30, 2024)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– 
Pass offers 50% reduced museum admission for up to two (2) adults and two (2) children (children under 2 are free).
– Currently open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm (please see below for exceptions).
– Library pass does not include admission or discounts to the Explorer Express Train, Planetarium, or the regular member discount in the Museum Store.

Please note:

  • The Museum will be OPEN the following Monday holidays: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
  • The Museum will be CLOSED on the following holidays only: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
  • November through March, for your safety and due to the early sunset, the outside grounds close at 4:00 pm.

Patrons wishing to use the Library Discount Pass for the EcoTarium should reserve their discount PASS online with us prior to their visit. However, you do not need to purchase or reserve your TICKETS in advance if you plan to visit the EcoTarium using a Library Discount Pass (tickets must be purchased in person at the EcoTarium in order to receive the discount).

* The House of the Seven Gables in Salem (expires September 30, 2o24)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– Pass gives patrons 50% off admission for up to four (4) people. Children under 5 are free.
Patrons are required to:

  • Purchase tickets in advance. Instructions are on the back of the pass. Tickets are required, regardless of age.
  • Bring the pass on your visit for proof of discount; otherwise, you may be charged full price admission.

Mass Parks (Department of Conservation and Recreation)

– Pass entitles borrower to FREE parking for one vehicle at over 50 facilities in the Mass Parks System that charge a day-use parking fee (not valid for camping).

This pass welcomes members from our community to parks and forests throughout the state so they may enjoy some of Massachusetts’ special places as well as the benefits of healthy outdoor recreation.

* The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston (expires February 28, 2025)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– Pass allows two (2) adults for $10 each (special exhibition + general admission) and up to four (4) children 7-17 $10 each (special exhibition + general admission). There is no discount for children 7-17 for general admission, as it is already $10. Children 6 and under are free.
– May not be combined with any other offers.
– The Museum is closed on Tuesdays as well as the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Patriots’ Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
– The Museum offers FREE admission on the following days: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and Indigenous Peoples’ Day (no advance tickets. Visitors must supply a valid MA zip code to gain free admission. Free admission to timed, ticketed exhibitions available in person on a first-come, first-served basis).

* The Museum of Science in Boston (expires December 31, 2024)
– Requires a valid CW MARS library card.
– Pass admits up to four (4) people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free but must have a timed ticket.
– Pass can only be used on the date printed on the pass.
-The Museum will be closed on September 3, Thanksgiving Day (November 23), and Christmas Day (December 25). The Museum will close early at 2:00 p.m. on November 22 and December 24.

– Children under the age of 3 are not included in the admission count and are always admitted free.
– Coupon is valid for Aquarium admission ONLY on the date printed on the coupon, and may not be used in conjunction with school or group visits, nor be applied toward Aquarium programs, Simon Theatre tickets, Whale Watch tickets, or combination tickets.
– Please review the Aquarium’s website at www.neaq.org/reopen ahead of visiting to ensure a safe and accessible experience.
– Hours of operation are subject to change without notice. Before leaving home, we encourage you to visit their website, neaq.org, for details about hours, exhibits, schedules, prices, directions, parking, and safety guidelines.

Message from the New England Aquarium:

Library pass holders no longer need to make advance reservations. Tickets cannot be pre-purchased online nor over the phone. The original, dated pass must be presented at the Aquarium Box Office (“General Admission” line) at the time of the visit. Library pass holders will be granted immediate entry after purchasing discounted tickets, even if the Aquarium is sold out to the general public at that time.

Passes can be scanned directly off the phone or other device OR may be printed. Barcode must be included.

Message from New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill:
“Online pre-reservations are no longer required for general admission visits, but online pre-reservations are still available for those who would like to purchase tickets in advance of their visit.”

If you plan on purchasing your tickets online, please call the library (978-365-4160) to receive the discount code and then book your tickets online with the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill. When you arrive, you must present both your printed ticket AND the physical library pass to receive discounted admission.

– Pass allows the bearer a discounted admission rate for up to six (6) visitors.
– Children 2 and under are free.
PASS IS NOT VALID IN OCTOBER
– During the winter months, the Museum may close due to inclement weather. Please call for hours of operation before your visit.
– The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day and closes at 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. In 2023, the Museum will close for two weeks in January to maintain the Museum. Please call before visiting, should maintenance take longer than anticipated.

Patrons wishing to use the Library Discount Pass for the Salem Witch Museum should reserve their PASS online with us as well as their TICKETS online with the Museum. In order to receive the discount, you must enter the promotional code when purchasing your tickets online. The Promo Code is listed on the actual pass. You may also call the library at 978-365-4160 to receive the promo code.

Covid-19 Procedures:
There are no advance tickets or reservations required to enter the USS Constitution Museum. Entry will be based on a first come, first served system.
