November 2014 Minutes

Minutes of Trustees Meeting on November 20, 2014

Because there was no heat in the library, this meeting was held in the Town Hall. Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Nancy. All trustees and director were in attendance.

Michael Ward (Town Administrator) was in attendance at our meeting.

Russ made the motion to accept the minutes of the October meeting. Second made by Caroline and motion was approved by all.

OLD BUSINESS

  1. roof finished

  2. boiler conversion completed 2 weeks ago but some replacement parts are still needed — float system shorted out.

  3. CORI checks have all been submitted to the Justice Department.

NEW BUSINESS

A memo to Town Counsel was approved by all members and will be forwarded to Mr. Gibbons.

DIRECTORS REPORT

    1. Budget reviewed.

    2. Policies for periodicals retention; promotional flyers; museum pass loaning policy; and borrowing privileges to de-certified libraries were submitted by Marie. After some discussion a motion to accept amended policies was made by Caroline and 2nded by Fran. All trustees approved.

    3. We received and read a letter from Central Mass Library Legislative Breakfast Committee. The library (BFPL) will host a legislative breakfast in January. Marie to provide more info at December meeting.

All upcoming library events are posted on library calendars.

December’s Trustee Meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 4pm in the afternoon. Motion for changes to our usual day and time made by Susan, 2nd by Russ and approved by all.
