February 2017 Minutes (Joint Meeting with Selectmen)

Trustee minutes of the joint meeting with selectmen on Feb. 15, 2017
The selectmen’s meeting opened at 7 p.m. The trustees segment began at 7:20 p.m. and lasted approximately five minutes.
Four members of the Library Board of Trustees met jointly with the selectmen to appoint a trustee to fill a vacancy left by Caroline Keiger. Trustees present were: Gloria Parkinson, chairwoman; Wendy Neil, vice chairwoman; Tracy Colangione and Karen Nugent.
Selectmen present were: William Connolly, vice chairman; Michael Dziokonski, James LeBlanc, and David Sargent.
The two applicants were Julianna Massalski and Carol Parkman.
Ms. Parkinson spoke for the board and expressed appreciation that two applicants showed interest.
Mr. Sargent nominated Ms. Massalski; Mr. LeBlanc nominated Ms. Parkman.
A voice vote was then taken with the results unanimously (8-0) in favor of Ms. Massalski.
The trustee meeting was adjourned after the vote.
